Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully. They explain the basis on which Enlighten's reflective, spiritual and subscription features are provided.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
These Terms of Use govern your use of Enlighten (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you must have it.
2. What Enlighten Provides
Enlighten is a spiritual wellbeing, reflection and personal-development service. It includes the Alignment assessment and profile, personalised Daily Guides and Weekly Journeys, practices and meditations, journals and dream interpretation, astrology, Tarot, numerology, manifestation, Community and related educational or inspirational content. Features and content may evolve. Some features require an account or paid access.
3. Wellbeing and Spiritual Content
Enlighten is not a medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional service. It does not diagnose, prevent, treat or cure any condition and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Alignment scores, recommendations, meditation, movement and reflective practices are general self-development tools. Adapt activities to your circumstances, stop if uncomfortable, and seek appropriate professional or emergency help when needed.
4. Interpretive Content and Outcomes
Astrology, Tarot, angel numbers, numerology, manifestation, dream interpretation and other spiritual material are offered for reflection, exploration and entertainment. They are interpretive traditions, not established predictions or guarantees. Enlighten does not guarantee a particular spiritual, personal, health, relationship, financial or other outcome. You remain responsible for your choices and should not rely on the App as the sole basis for an important decision.
5. Personalisation and AI
Recommendations are shaped by information such as your Alignment Profile, current needs, declared preferences, engagement and explicit helpfulness feedback. They may not always suit you; you retain choice over what to use. Some clearly identified features use artificial intelligence, including Daily Affirmations and optional dream interpretations. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unexpected. It is not professional advice or a statement of fact. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use.
6. Your Account and Content
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Keep your information accurate and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. You retain ownership of journal, dream, reflection and Community content you create. You give Enlighten the limited rights needed to host, process and display private content back to you and to operate requested features. For content you post to Community, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display it within Enlighten for as long as needed to provide and moderate Community.
7. Community Rules
Community posts are visible to other signed-in users. You must not post unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, misleading or spam content; impersonate others; infringe intellectual-property rights; or use Community to harass anyone. You are responsible for what you post. Users may report content. We may review reports and remove content, restrict access or suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with law.
8. Acceptable Use
You may use Enlighten only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, scrape or reverse-engineer protected parts of the service, misuse another person's account, or use the App to violate another person's rights.
9. Subscriptions and Purchases
Enlighten may offer limited/free access, a monthly subscription, a trial for eligible users and a lifetime purchase. The price, trial eligibility and billing period shown at checkout by Enlighten, Apple, Google or Stripe apply to that transaction. Current UK-facing surfaces may show £4.99 per month with a 7-day trial where eligible, and £29.99 for lifetime access. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the platform that processed the purchase before renewal. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally remove access before the paid or trial period ends. A lifetime purchase is a one-off entitlement for the supported life of the service; it is not a guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged indefinitely. Apple, Google or Stripe handles payment details and may apply its own terms, taxes, refunds and billing rules. Use Restore Purchases for eligible store purchases. Deleting your Enlighten account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
10. Intellectual Property
Except for user content, Enlighten and its text, design, software, graphics, meditations, practices and other materials are owned by or licensed to Enlighten and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the App; they do not transfer ownership.
11. Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability. We may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will provide notice of material changes where appropriate.
12. Suspension, Termination and Deletion
You may stop using Enlighten or delete your account through Account Settings. Deletion is permanent and does not by itself create a refund or cancel an external store subscription. We may restrict or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, create risk or harm, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will take the circumstances into account and provide notice.
13. Disclaimers and Liability
The App is provided on an "as available" basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, Enlighten is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or arise from business use of this consumer App.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data and forms part of the information governing your use of Enlighten. It is available in the App and at /PrivacyPolicy.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Enlighten, law or our operations. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law where you live.
